2026 MAIN TITLES BY THE MILL: TURN IDEAS INTO ACTION
The new Forward Festival Main Titles for 2026 just had their world premiere in Berlin, created by London-based studio The Mill.
The brief was a single line: turn ideas into action. The sequence opens with three seeds drifting across the screen, standing in for the three pillars of an idea and borrowing their forms from nature. They move through the film, split, and multiply, until a turning point where things start taking shape. From there everything is in motion, and the seeds resolve into a single artwork.
The clip works across animated analog drawings, digital design, and elements made with AI, with more details in it than one viewing will catch.
The Mill has been working out of London since 1990, starting in visual effects, with an Academy Award for Gladiator and decades of work in design, animation, and 3D since.
