AI (GER) Eray Basar is the CEO of IMG.LY, a company building creative editing tools used by global brands and millions of users worldwide.
Eray Basar studied computer science, fell for design, and has been building at the intersection ever since. He co-founded the digital agency 9elements, and since 2017 has led its spin-off IMG.LY as CEO — a company built on the conviction that great creative tools should feel as considered as the work they produce.
IMG.LY's flagship, CE.SDK, powers the creative experiences inside products from Amazon, Disney, HP and hundreds of other brands — quietly running in the background of the apps, design platforms, and editors millions of people use every day. Agencies use it to ship their clients something new: not just creative work, but the custom editors, automations, and design workflows that make everyday brand work faster, cleaner, and easier to scale.
Eray is a curious maker — deep into music production, generative AI, and visual craft. He invests in companies pushing the creative tools space forward, and has spoken at DLD and Web Summit among others.
