World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 explores how design can shape democratic participation and social transformation across an entire region. But how do you create a visual identity for a project that is itself in constant transition?
Starting from a movement with great ambition but little structure, the visual identity evolved alongside new formats, shifting requirements and an expanding public presence. A design system emerged that understands itself as a form of “design in becoming” — shaped by the involvement of many, contributing to its dynamic evolution through adaptation, negotiation, and change.
Through insights into process, challenges and decision-making, the talk examines the potential of collaborative work and visual identity as an adaptable system rather than a static construct.
