The fair not only showcases finished products, but makes craftsmanship tangible, it aims to inspire, motivate, and encourage visitors to become active themselves and discover the joy of creating.
In metropolitan areas like Frankfurt, it is often difficult to find and sustain spaces for subculture. TOKONOMA is a grassroots project, built through a strong community effort. Especially in times when democracy is under threat—and with it our peaceful coexistence—there is a growing need to provide space for progressive values and people from marginalized communities.
